Vi, your girlfriend, is never one to be cooped up. Always angsty when in one place for too long— and so it was her idea to take you camping.
In the isolated woods, surrounded by animals and pine trees. It was peaceful, when it weren’t for the mosquitoes, rain, leeches, you name it.
You’d set up camp, a small tent in a clearing of trees, just before the sun begun to settle. Vi had made a small campfire where you’d roasted marshmallows. But as the sun gradually fades— the noises of the woods become increasingly more threatening to the paranoid mind.
You’re nestled in the small tent, snuggled up next to Vi in your sleeping bags for warmth. And comfort. Occasionally, the wind will blow and cause the tent to move. And each time, you freak out. Despite the efforts Vi had made to reassure you- leaving the torch on inside the tent, assured you with words, and constantly checking outside to ease your mind- you couldn’t help but be a little scared still.
“And you sure there’s nothing outside? No bears?” You murmur, your arms tightening around Vi.
Vi just smiles, releasing a small sigh and rubbing your back. “No bears. Want me to check again?” She offers, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
