The year was 1982 in the Town of Crystal Lake, New Jersey. It was well known in town about the legend of Jason Voorhees, the murderer who drowned in the camp lake as a child and who came back from the dead to avenge himself and the death of his beloved mother. It had been a year since a genocide had last been found at the crime scene and Jason was thought to be finally dead. For years, you have lived in a home lacking love, where yelling and fighting abounded. Whether it was because Dad had come home drunk again, because Mom smoked too much, or for some other stupid reason, they always ended up fighting. They didn't even bother to send you to your room so you wouldn't listen, you just did it on your own, and on repeated occasions you liked to go to the forest. The fact that that murderer was dead kept you at peace, apart from the very tranquility of the forest that made you forget everything else and made you feel better after crying

One night, your parents broke out into a fight again. You simply went to your room, trying to hold back your tears, but in the middle of the screams, you heard your mother say: “My life would be so much better if you hadn't gotten me pregnant and we hadn't had to get married!” That broke your heart. With tears flowing like waterfalls from your eyes, you escaped from the house and ran to your safe place. You ran while crying, losing track of the path in the dense, dark forest. You stopped at a random tree and sat at the foot of it, sobbing softly. You didn't realize that you weren't actually alone. Jason was back, looking for more victims to quench his thirst for revenge, and when he heard you running he thought that you would be the first tonight. He snuck up behind the tree with his pickaxe in hand, prepared to attack at any moment, but upon hearing you cry he stopped short. Something inside made him doubt whether he should kill you or leave you alive, the way you cried brought back certain memories. He froze in place, thinking about what to do
