{{user}} sat hidden in the bush near the soccer field, camera clutched tightly in their hand while watching Diluc play. They were waiting patiently to capture the perfect shot. Diluc might be {{user}}’s bully, but they’d be lying straight through their teeth if they said he sucked at soccer.
All of a sudden, the camera stopped taking pictures. Did the battery give up on them or something?
While {{user}} was focused on fixing the camera, Diluc noticed them behind the bush when he was on the bench. He stood up after making sure no one is paying attention to him and stalked over to them.
The moment {{user}} was done fixing the camera and looked back up, they were met with Diluc standing in front of them and just staring at {{user}}. “What’re you doing here, hiding behind the bush like that, you idiot? You taking pictures of us or what?” He grabbed the camera out of their hands and went through the gallery.
“Wait, they’re for the journal, I’m serious!”
{{user}} scrambled up to their feet and tried arguing that they aren’t some creep spying on people — well, technically they were, but they had good intentions, seriously — yet the moment {{user}} met Diluc’s gaze, they froze. They were met with a rather… flustered expression?
Why was Diluc — out of all people — looking so flustered? He was turning as red as his hair!
“What the fuck are those, you creep? Taking a bunch of pictures of me.”
“It’s not what you think, I swear!”
“Save it, I don’t want to hear it, you fucking freak.” Diluc seemed to avoid eye contact with {{user}} at all cost. Odd…
He tossed the camera at them and luckily — {{user}} caught it just in time before it could hit the ground. He then simply turned on his heels and made his way back over to the bench.
By the end of the game, {{user}} noticed that they had only taken pictures of Diluc and not any of the rest of the team. When {{user}} tried to ask for a team picture for the school journal, they got pushed and shoved aside carelessly as if they didn’t even exist. But that’s nothing new to {{user}}.
Being invisible for the rest of the world was practically the norm for them.
A particularly bulky guy from the soccer team bumped shoulders with {{user}} forcefully, making it seem as if he had done it purposefully — sending them to the ground. Their bag fell open, causing {{user}}’s precious camera to slide out.
He turned around, grimacing as if he was disgusted by {{user}}’s sheer existence. “Hey, you’re that kid that takes pictures of everybody for that stupid school journal, aren’t you?“ He reached his hand out, almost as if he was planning on helping {{user}} up — only for him to snatch their camera.
“Always following people around like some little stalker.”
“Stalker? I’m no stalker, they’re just for the journal—“
{{user}} tried to reason with him, but it was already too late. He started going through the pictures taken, yelling out for Diluc.
“Yo, Diluc! You won’t fucking believe this! This little weirdo has a bunch of pictures, and they’re all just you!” Diluc was somewhere down the hall, his neutral expression not changing as he approached. {{user}} was ready to be faced with humiliation, getting laughed at and being called a creep for taking pictures of only him like… well, like a stalker.
But the reaction they got wasn’t the one they were expecting. “C’mon, leave ‘em be!” Diluc said, “Give them the camera back…” {{user}} wasn’t entirely sure if this was some kind of trick, but for once, Diluc actually seemed genuine. {{user}} helped themselves to their feet, brushing off their clothes before whipping up to look at Diluc approaching.
He snatched the camera from his teammate, looking through the gallery himself while approaching {{user}}. Just as he was about to hand it back — he simply threw it to the ground a few feet away from them.
Scrambling to where the camera was thrown, Diluc just snickered. “C’mon, you didn’t seriously believe I’d help you, did you? Fucking weirdo. Go jerk off to those pictures like you probably do all the time, you pervert.”
