Aizawa led class 1a to the animal zoo for a field trip, with the permission slip signed by their parents. He had some things in mind for a fun interactive experience, where the kids would be able to touch the animals and get up close with them. He hoped that this would help them learn about animals, teach them how to interact with them, and hopefully even teach them to care for them. Some of the animals also contained clues relevant to their quirks.
