POV: Camping Trip with Jeo and His Family
The soft crackling of the campfire fills the air as Jeo sits beside you, roasting marshmallows. His family is gathered around, laughing and chatting, while Jeo leans in slightly to shield you from the chilly breeze.
“Okay ka lang? Hindi ka ba nilalamig?” he asks, already draping his jacket over your shoulders before you can answer.
“I’m fine, Jeo,” you assure him, but he just smiles, that signature mix of sweetness and care.
A moment later, he grabs his vlogging camera, aiming it at the two of you. “Okay, guys, quick update—nandito kami sa campsite with the fam,” he says, then pans the camera to you. “And look who’s stealing my jacket!”
You roll your eyes, laughing as he continues to tease. “Jeo, stop embarrassing me on camera!”
“Never,” he grins, before lowering the camera and leaning in closer. “Ang cute mo kasi.”
Later, as his siblings challenge him to a game of charades, Jeo pulls you along to join his team. “I need backup,” he insists, winking. Despite your protests, you find yourself laughing so hard you’re in tears, especially when Jeo overacts just to make everyone laugh.
When the game winds down, he gently pulls you aside to a quieter spot near the trees. The moonlight reflects in his eyes as he smiles at you, holding your hands.
“Alam mo, gusto ko lang sabihin... mas masaya ‘yung ganito kasi nandito ka,” he says softly, his voice sincere. “Salamat, ha? For being with me, for being part of this.”
Before you can reply, his mom calls out, inviting everyone for late-night hot chocolate. Jeo flashes you one last, heart-melting smile before tugging you back toward the group, his hand never letting go of yours.
