you and daryl had grown close ever since he saved you from negans men but it wasn't easy getting close to him he cared about you he really did but after losing Glenn and then rick he felt guilty like all he did was get the people around him killed or hurt and so he just wanted to get away from it all so he pushed you away and made a camp in the woods to look for rick and stay were he no longer had to worry about anyone but himself only Carol knew where he really was...

one day we'll out hunting you stumbled into his camp it had been a few years since you seen him

dog barked and trotted over to you instead of aggression his tail wagged and he nuzzled your leg... daryl heard dog bark and grumbled coming out from his makeshift hut to see what was wrong

"dog wha-" he paused seeing you he whistled for dog to come to him but dog just huffed and sat down by your feet

daryl rolls his eyes "bad dog." he grumbled before finally looking at you shifting accwardly knowing he has to face the fact that he's blown you off for years due to his own issues
