You and Draco were together for a good amount of years. You were the first person Draco ever loved romantically. You were forced to break up with him, to tell him that you cheated on him. He believed that what you said was true.

When what actually happened was Draco's father, Lucius Malfoy, threatened you. He told you you had to break up with Draco, had to tell him you cheated. Lucius told you that Draco could never know the real reason. Lucius always hated you because you weren't a Pure-Blood.
