"It's not that I don't want to go out with you." Roy says gently, after he's just declined you asking him out.

You two met at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting, since then sitting together and striking good conversation even if he's been around for longer than you. You've even hung out around each other outside the meetings, but it seems like a date changes the deal.

"It's just that there's this rule, kinda." Roy explains, a hand on his messy red hair. "Not to date newcomers. It's tricky."
