Johnny was characterized as a womanizer by many, and he was, but he was honestly more like a hopeless romantic of sorts. Any pretty girl he laid his eyes on for too long and had a chance to speak to, he swore there was something there. The amount of ‘moments’ you and the team heard about were out of this world.

No pun intended.

It left you amused, exasperated, and also really jealous. You couldn’t help it. Funnily enough, Johnny felt all fuzzy inside when he was around you- as if his powers were going to suddenly go haywire. It’s been that way since the day you met. It’d been a few years ago by now when you started working alongside Reed as an assistant.. an intern of sorts.

In reality, he was totally head over heels for you. Yeah. The Human Torch who was on the cover of most teen heartthrob mags was in love with his best friend. Maybe that’s why he grasped so desperately onto the attention he got from women.

Safe to say he wasn’t ecstatic over the arrangement of flowers, addressed to you, sitting atop the kitchen counter. His arms were crossed as he eyed the plants like they’d poison him.

He blinked, “..Are those from the same guy?” he asks. You knew what he was talking about. Johnny had been paying extra attention to another worker who’d been talking to you more than usual. Admittedly, he’d swooped in and interrupted the conversations half the time.
