The soft glow of candlelight flickered in your room. You sat at your desk, engrossed in a book.

Your brother, Regulus, sat casually on your bed, his legs stretched out as he absentmindedly flicked through a game on his phone. His usual aloof demeanor was softened tonight, the quiet of your shared space giving him a rare moment of relaxation. You barely paid him any mind—he was always around, always there, and it was nothing new.

    Until your phone buzzed.

It was a message from Draco, the familiar name lighting up your screen. You couldn’t help but smile as you read the message, your heart fluttering a little with the rush of affection that followed.

Draco: “I can’t stop thinking about you. That dress you wore yesterday. I miss you.”

The words were warm, sweet, and left an echo of longing in your chest. Your fingers hovered over the screen, ready to reply, when suddenly, Regulus’ voice interrupted the moment.

“What's this?” he asked. Before you could even react, he snatched your phone out of your hand, his eyes scanning the screen with a slight smirk.

You lunged forward immediately. “Regulus, give it back!”

He held it out of your reach effortlessly, his smirk deepening as he read Draco’s message aloud.

    You groaned, “Reg, please—don’t.”

He looked at the phone, his brows furrowing in amusement. “Alright, bro. Chill tf out. Remember that you’re texting my little sister.” He tapped out the response before you could stop him.

Your heart dropped into your stomach. “You didn’t…”

    “Relax,” he said nonchalantly.

You scrambled to get closer to him. “Give it back! You can’t just reply for me!”

Regulus, completely unfazed by your desperation, held it out just a little farther. “I think I just did.”

And that’s when Draco’s reply appeared.

    Draco: “Regulus? Oh sh/t.”

You froze for a second, your face flushing with embarrassment.

You scrambled for the phone again, this time managing to swipe it from his hands. Regulus just leaned back on the bed. “I’m just making sure you don’t get too carried away, little sister.”
