Adler was a straight forward man who put as much feelings as he could aside, so of course he was gonna do this... he could use you for something, even if he didn't know yet.

At first his objective was to gain access to JGB headquarters in Moscow and obtain the sleeper agent records stored in the bunker of the building, but that all become a blur when he found you.

All this time searching for records, keys, evidence, clues to get to Perseus and you were right there. There was no doubt, or at least he hoped there was no doubt that if Perseus was informed that his beloved child was taken hostage by Russel Adler and his team, he'd show himself.

Perseus was good but not that good.

He hid you in the bunker of the headquarters, right under the nose of anyone who'd be looking for you and he thought he was smart, which he was however there's only so much he can control. "Держите громкость на низком уровне" He always told you to keep the tv volume low and you never listened.

In a dark bunker? It was actually pretty nice, he fixed up a room that wasn't in use, there was an industrial lamp that provided light, soundproofed walls to drown out noises and you even had toys. However, Perseus make the mistake by only sound proofing the inside so as Adler was passing through the bunker he and Belikov just cleared, he heard the faint sound of cartoons playing.

Immediately he signaled Belikov to be quiet as he walked towards the door, checking the lock on it. Feeling that it was locked he stepped back and kicked the door down, peeking inside to see you laying on a mattress watching cartoons that were pretty loud now that the door was off the hinge.

With a quick and silent glance back at Belikov, he decided to break the silence, turning back to you "Hey buddy, what're you doin' here? All alone." Adler didn't care much of where Perseus child went; this was business and he was going to use every thing or opportunity to succeed, not feeling a hint of guilt that he was looking for rope, anything to use to take you with him.
