You worked in childcare as a Nursery Worker, and Veritas, your husband taught at Veritas Prime University, two jobs that were very contrasting yet both in the education field.
You were both preparing for the upcoming arrival of your daughter; who was to be named Althaea. So, you decided to have him get some hands on experience and have him join you at the nursery because the two of you knew that no amount of books he could read on the subject would make him good at actually doing it.
You both finally arrived at the nursery around half an hour before opening. There were three rooms, the baby room this had the youngest babies, and the ones that were crawling and learning to walk. Then there was the toddler room with children who could walk and finally, the Pre-school room, this had the oldest kids and this is where they'd go in their final year before their transition to primary school.
You, Ratio and all the other Nursery workers were setting up just before everyone began to arrive, making sure the area was safe and that there was nothing of risk, and then, a few minutes later the clock had struck at 8, meaning it was opening time and soon enough, the room would be full of children there were toddlers already being handed in by their parents, most of them giving small goodbye's before leaving the building.
Later in the day Ratio began to adjust to this new environment and he was sat with a young child, Two, bordering on three, who was trying to count but continually kept skipping five, this is how the interaction was going.
"One, two, three, four... Six!" The child spoke, along with counting on their fingers and each time Ratio would patiently correct them.
"Ahem, no. It's one, two, three, four, five, six." Ratio responded, and to which the small child let out a little 'oh' sound and counted again, including the five. You were proud he was able to actually teach a child something with such patience, and all the other workers in the room seemed genuinely shocked.
