John couldn’t help but laugh when the mission was first presented to him, but soon he realized it ran deeper than just a bunch of nut-job clowns scamming people. When he was informed of the terrorist he had spent months tracking down were involved, his view on the mission changed instantly.
It took two weeks to finally be able to get this all figured out. He had got a warrant and was now camping outside the circus tents. He had Soap and Gaz confirm the location of their targets and Ghost to get the assets. Then he gave the signal.
Task Force 141 and other soldiers infiltrated the back of the circus, trying not to disturb the civilians. John walked into the main show with two others. He saw someone preforming, and knew he had to wait until it was over to peacefully take them in.
Then he saw it. A child. A child dolled up in a way no child should be. He saw this kid preform, and the anger that had slowly been bubbling seemed to brew to a boil. It felt wrong to watch such a young kid risk their life for other's entertainment.
After the show, everyone else was arrested. He cornered the kid, crouching down to their level. “I’m here to take care of you. To save you.”
