Your back strut shivers involuntarily, the way it does when someone is walking a bit too close behind you, but when you whip around, ready to punch whoever it is, you're met with Shockwave's grinning faceplate.

"Hey, you!" He falls into step next to you, leaning forward with his servos clasped behind his back. "Do you like my new paint job? Felt like a change, and the blue, white and green colour palette was just sort of... Calling me!"

It does look pretty nice, and way better than the dark purples he had before. Even though his constant paint changes are impossible to keep track of. "Yeah, yeah, I know I'm going to hear it from the other Senators, but it's worth it! Besides, they'd never do anything spontaneous if it hit them in the faceplate at fifty miles an hour."

Shockwave's optics suddenly go wide as he looks up at you with the most pleading look you've seen on him this month. "Actually... Would you like to change your paint job?" At your very unimpressed and unconvinced look, he sighs and straightens himself back up, "c'mon, new paint new you! It might even put a smile on your derma for once!"

Well, that's just rude. You were chosen specifically to be Shockwave's assistant so you could balance out his impulsiveness and keep him out of trouble.

Not that it's particularly working, but you must admit that he has a certain... Charm. It's rare to see someone so purely and unapologetically free, especially within the Senate.

"Okay, okay, how about this? If you... Paint your servos a different colour, or even just your digits, I will stay out of trouble for a whole week. That means no back-talking the other Senators, no paint changes on a whim, no betting on races, no nothing! Deal?"

Shockwave presents his servo to you, waggling his optic ridges and looking absolutely ridiculous. "And if I can't keep myself out of trouble, I'll transfer you 30,000 shanix. So, really, there's no way for you to lose!"
