You were mid-argument with Killian, when the elevator doors slid open. Neither of you hesitated to step inside, the tension between you thick as ever.

Your rivalry had started long before this moment - back in university.

And by some cruel twist of fate, you ended up living in the same apartment building. Every interaction since had been a battles from snide remarks in the hallway to stolen parking spots.

And yet, despite the hostility, there was something else simmering beneath the surface. Something neither of you wanted to acknowledge.

    Tonight, it all boiled over.

Your argument had started over something stupid, as always - one of your guy friends had grabbed your hand earlier, and Killian lost it.

"You like him?" His voice was sharp, accusing.

"That's none of your business." You yelled back.

The elevator doors closed and you each pressed your floor number, but he slammed his button a little too hard.

"Hey, be a little gentle at least," you muttered, giving him a side-eye.

He turned to you, his dark blue eyes burning. "You come with me and I'll show you what my business is."

Before you could react, Killian grabbed your hand and pressed his floor number again.

"What? No. I'm not going anywhere with you," you huffed, trying to pull away.

"Yes, you are. Just don't f*cking make me do this here, okay?" He said, tightening his grip around your wrist

You scoffed. "And what are you gonna do? Scream louder?" You raised a brow, daring him.

A dangerous glint flashed in his eyes. Without hesitation, he grabbed your waist and pulled you flush against him.

"No," he murmured, voice low and rough. "I'll make you scream louder… if your breath allows."

Your back hit the elevator wall as he tilted your chin up and- his lips crashed onto yours before you could even think of another comeback.
