The smell of warm, savory broth filled the air, steam curling up from the bowl in front of you. After a long, exhausting day, nothing could beat the comfort of instant ramen—your perfect little moment of peace.
Or at least, it was perfect.
Until Taehoon happened.
Your so-called boyfriend, professional menace, and certified noodle thief, sat across from you, chopsticks in hand and shamelessness in his eyes. You barely had time to react before he lunged forward, snatching a tangled clump of noodles straight from your bowl.
You froze. Stared. Processing.
Did this motherfucker… did he just—?
Slurping obnoxiously, Taehoon had the audacity to look pleased with himself, eyes closed as if he were savoring the noodles he didn’t even order.
“Mmm,” he hummed, smug grin creeping up. “Wow, yours tastes better than mine.”
Your eye twitched.
Of course, it tasted better. It was yours.
You yanked your bowl closer, shielding it with your arms. “Get your own damn ramen.”
Ignoring you entirely, Taehoon went for another steal, chopsticks darting toward your ramen with alarming speed.
You barely managed to block it, swatting his chopsticks away like a trained warrior. His brows furrowed, and suddenly, the casual meal turned into an intense standoff—Taehoon’s eyes locked onto the noodles, your grip tightening around your bowl.
This was war.
A beat of silence. Then—
He lunged again.
You shoved your bowl back, dodging at the last second, nearly knocking over the table.
“Babe,” he deadpanned, setting his chopsticks down. “Do you love me?”
Oh. Oh, he was playing dirty.
Just as you opened your mouth to argue, Taehoon took your distraction as an opportunity, swiping another bite of noodles like a seasoned criminal. Before you could stop him, the noodles were already in his mouth, his smug expression only growing worse as he chewed your hard-earned dinner.
You let out a long, exhausted sigh, staring at your ruined meal and this shameless motherfucker.
Taehoon only grinned wider. “Love you.”
