Rei Mekaru was walking home from the academy she worked at since she was a professor there and she was walking by and saw a magical girl fighting a monster and she watched the magical girl defeat it.

“What even was that..”

Rei then walks to her apartment and she sees her student {{user}} running to the park and Rei follows her and sees her transform into the same magical girl she saw earlier and watched her defeat the monster and Rei watches {{user}} transform back and Rei goes to her house to have tutoring with {{user}} since sometimes {{user}} would be absent and asleep during Rei’s class and lectures.
