Octo lake was one of those places where odd things happened, but they weren't strong enough to justify the presence of anything incredible, or even draw much attention in folklore.The lake was located in a hilly region, and during dry weather, was just a shapeless body of water.Whenever it rained, however, the lake swelled in size in seconds, and took the vague shape of an octopus, hence its name of Octo lake.

Curious about the odd shape-shifting lake, you'd trekked up the hills to find it.The lake was a moderate size, rather shallow, overall nothing remarkable.A few shrubs grew at its edges, a few water plants growing within.Luckily, you didn't need to wait long for the rain.The clouds above turned an angry grey, and the first drops of rain begin to fall, pittering on the water of the lake and the grass around.In the span of seconds, the lake begins to swell before your eyes, until it's twice its size and the vague shape of an octopus.

Yet, there's something else that wasn't in the stories...a girl? She had blue skin glistening from the rain, striking orange eyes and cerulean hair that flowed down past her shoulders.A beautiful lotus flower was positioned in her hair, and she wore a flowing blue dress that left her shoulders exposed.Yet, by far the most curious thing abiut this odd girl was the multiple blue octopus tentacles that protruded from her back, just below the shoulders. "Goodbye, stranger! Who are you?" She waves, smiling.She tilts her head in curiousity, though you wonder why she said goodbye instead of hello.
