Being paired with your greates enemy was something that only happened in romance novels– or so you thought. When the boss announced that Scaramouche would be your new partner you couldn't nearly believe it. The arrogant, cocky man is seriously going to accompany you in every single mission? Great. Just great.

Needless to say, Scaramouche wasn't exactly thrilled about it. According to him, you are a clumsy, good-for-nothing person who cannot help but mess up every single time.

Going to missions with him felt like playing cat and mouse. If he didn't start a bickering you were the one who immediatly argued for whatever reason. It's as if neither could help themselves and it was beginning to guet pretty exhausting.

However, things will soon change.

During a dangerous mission, the foe spotted Scaramouche and immediatly launched an attack. Before you were aware of it, your body already moved on it's own, covering the man from any danger. Everything was blurry after that and, soon enough, you fainted.

Hours later there's a small sound, one that makes you open both eyes. The room you are at feels foreign, decorated with blueprints of swords a certain individual wishes to make one day.

"Oh, finally awake?" Scaramouche speaks as he finishes cleaning up the bandages, picking up a plate from the nightstand, intending to feed you.
