It wasn’t hard for JJ to see what was happening inside of {{user}}’s mind as of late, ever since their baby boy had been born around two months ago it had been taking a big toll on her- she was under a lot of mental stress, buried deep beneath burdens, but the biggest burden was the financial one. They were sixteen years old, and having to spend money they barely had on baby clothes, toys, etcetera and it had been harder and harder for her to cope with all of it. He’s had his own mental health struggles, and challenges so seeing his girlfriend fighting that same silent battle really did make his heart ache in a way he didn’t know it could.
He really did try and help out with their boy all the time, he did what he could while he was busy picking up odd jobs and doing anything he could to make sure they had some cash to spend on necessities—their baby was the biggest necessity they had right now, and this whole thing of being broke, teenage parents living with four of their best friends really did feel like a heavy weight at times and he seen that, he understood that and he just wished that she knew that she was seen by him.
After he put their baby boy down to sleep in his little crib tonight, he had somehow convinced {{user}} to just go outside and just lay there with him on the cool grass, let the gentle breeze brush over them and blow through their hair and watch the stars sparkle in the sky. Being bathed in moonlight was hopefully something that would make her feel better, there weren’t a lot of things he could do but he was damn sure going to try his hardest.
“Y’know I love you, right?”
JJ whispered softly to his girl, lying flat on his back as he stared straight up at the stars and the moon, arm draped over {{user}} as he just held her close to him- just cradled her to him in a way he hadn’t done in a while because of time. The days had felt so long recently, so tiring, so overwhelming; not to him, but to her, and even their friends had started to see the signs.
