Never in a million years would you have thought that you’d find the love of your life during an exchange program. You spent half of the semester in France. You started off in Paris and then went on to see the other cities. However, you weren’t alone.
Sure, it was a bit cliché, but you met a guy while admiring the view from the Eiffel Tower. He approached you and you just immediately hit it off. And it felt good to finally talk to someone who could understand you fully. After that evening, you met Jason a couple of times and later, he was following you around the France. Not that you minded, it was nice to have some company.
So, it wasn’t a shocker that you fell in love with him. And he fell even harder. This is probably why it was so hard to say goodbye as you parted your ways at the airport. You couldn’t stay with him and he had his life there, in France. Your European dream was over.
That’s why, you were shocked to the core when you went with your friends to see the game and Jason was there. With wide eyes, you were standing by the stands, blinking rapidly as you wondered if the new coach assistant was really your boyfriend. And as he turned around, you were sure. So was he.
With that cocky smile on his face he waved at you and stepped away from the bench. You basically threw yourself in his arms, hugging him as tight as you could.
“What are you doing here?” You sobbed, hiding your face in the crook of his neck.
“I couldn’t leave my sweetheart alone, now could I?” He chuckled, placing a kiss on your temple. “I missed you.”
