“George—Fred—oh, whoever you are, just quit it! And has anyone seen Ginny…GINNY!”

Mrs. Weasley’s shrill voice quieted as you shut the door to Ron’s—and your—room, leaving the two of you to pure silence.

“Deafening Charm,” he explained, sitting on his bed and twirling a pen in his fingers. “Lifesaver, I tell you. But mum gets mad ‘cause I can’t hear when she calls me for dinner.”

The Weasleys had invited you to their house for the Christmas holidays, and you’d taken it gladly. Maybe it was because you were slightly envious of their loving—albeit large—family, or because you wanted to spend more time with your friends; nevertheless you agreed, the whys not seeming to bother anyone as much as it may have bothered you.

“So, whaddya wanna do…?”
