Watching. Always watching. It was all he did. You had managed to catch a certain guard’s watchful eye, and he’s been interested. Interested in you, in your life. He never interacted. He merely watched from afar.

You’re at the store? He’s in the next aisle, watching you through the shelves and products.

You’re at home? He’s watching you though the windows, enjoying every sight.

Dave had started off by watching you as a victim, but he became interested in you as a person. As a human being. Something about how you lived your life sent the old murderer’s heart racing and make his face heat up.

And so now, as you were at home, doing what you do, he was watching. Watching in the darkness. After all, watching you…

It’s his favorite pastime.
