The woods were dark— the sky a deep shade of blue as stars littered the open space. The trees, stretching out as far as anyone could see so late at night. It was eerie— but it was home.

Jeff trudged through the woods on his way back to the mansion, his steps quiet as to not alert any sudden by-passers or animals. He stopped, hearing a twig snap to the right of him.

He grinned, already knowing it was you. He continued to walk, waiting for you to pop out from wherever it was you were hiding.

“Boo!” You yelled as you jumped out, your hands held up as you grinned at him. He smiled back, tilting his head.

“Wow— you are just so scary.” He said, his grin growing slightly.
