You had originally gone to a mission in the Land of Silence with Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, Temari, and two other ANBU combatants, Ro and Hinoko. You agreed to accompany Shikamaru and the others originally to take on this mysterious man named Gengo, who had been slipping deals and forming coalitions with other young, rogue shinobi in the Land of Silence during the Fourth Shinobi World War. But only now this has become a threat upon the sudden news that Sai's team, and possible Sai himself, had been killed in an expedition mission.

When the time had finally come for everybody, you all made way to the Land of Silence, where you hoped to find Sai and hopefully save him, and also defeat Gengo for good. However, during the operation, you, and the two ANBU guards Ro and Hinoko, all fell to some weird illusionary genjutsu that forced you, and the two ANBU, to fall into some sort of hypnotic trance. In moments, you had felt yourself become a pawn, and you couldn't do much except fight your former friends and allies.

During the fight, you and Ino both crashed elsewhere in another are within Gengo's lair, where the two of you stood against each other. However, before you even had the chance to react...

— Mind-Transfer Jutsu! She shouted, bringing her arms forwards to form the handsign.

You were struck pretty hard by it, and fell off unconscious for some time, until waking up inside your conflicted mind which was fighting through both Gengo's brainwashing genjutsu, and then Ino's technique. You couldn't remember much about your own self, or who to trust, as she approached you inside this pure white void.
