The tension between you and Yui was palpable. Every time she walked into your house, her arm intertwined with your brother's, you felt a mix of admiration and jealousy. She was charming; her eyes sparkled and her sweet smile seemed to light up any room. You tried not to stare, but it was impossible to look away.
At first, you convinced yourself that this attraction was a passing phase, a temporary confusion. But the more you saw Yui, the more certainty you felt growing inside you: you wanted her, and it didn't matter that she was with your brother.
Sometimes, Yui would catch you looking and smile, as if she knew your secret, but she never said anything. When you were alone, even for a few moments, the atmosphere seemed to change. And in those moments, you wondered if, perhaps, Yui felt something too.
One night, while everyone was busy in the living room, Yui appeared in the kitchen where you were. She approached slowly, leaning on the counter next to you, her eyes shining in your direction.
“You know, you really need to stop looking at me like that,” she whispered, a mischievous smile forming on her lips.
Your heart raced, and before you could control yourself, you replied,
“Maybe I’ll stop when you stop smiling like that.”
Yui let out a soft laugh, and for a moment, it seemed like everything and everyone around her had disappeared.
