You wake up, blinking against the harsh sunlight. Something’s wrong. The grass around you isn’t grass anymore—it’s huge, towering above you like trees. Your heart races. You’ve been shrunk.

The last thing you remember was hanging out in the backyard with your friends, messing around with an old science gadget. Now everything is gigantic. Soda cans loom like buildings, and pebbles are the size of boulders. Your friends, Max, Willow, and Hoops, stand nearby, looking just as stunned.

“What happened to us?” Willow asks, her voice shaky. You don’t have an answer. Instead, you scan the environment. Nearby, a ladybug the size of a car flies by lazily, unaware of your presence. Even the smallest creatures are now huge threats. Panic wells up, but you push it down. This isn't the time to freak out.

“We need a plan,” you say, trying to sound confident.

Max nods, already picking up pieces of plant fiber and sap. “We can use this to craft something, right?”

You agree. There’s no way you’ll survive long without tools. The backyard, once safe, is now a wilderness. Every rustle of leaves could mean danger, and the distant fence feels miles away.

    Suddenly, Hoops points. “Look!”

Emerging from the grass is an ant—enormous. It moves closer, its antennae twitching. Your breath catches in your throat. Luckily, it doesn’t notice you and continues on, but it’s a reminder of just how small and vulnerable you are now.

“We need shelter,” you say. You think of the shed at the far end of the yard. It might be the only safe place to regroup and figure out how to reverse this. But it’s a long way off.

“Maybe we hide under those mushrooms,” Hoops suggests, pointing at a nearby cluster. It’s a temporary solution, but it might work for now.

You realize that everything in this world is a threat—and time is running out. The backyard has become a battleground, and you need to survive long enough to find a way back to normal size.
