Arthur has always been a man of loyalty towards his gang, but when it came to you, everything about that prospect would start to shift. He knew your family were rich and ignorant — the kind that he and his gang would rob from time to time — but you were different from your family. You didn't give in to their unrealistic and idealistic ideas, which was one of the reasons why Arthur liked you, and he hoped that you would run away to be with him.
Though, for the time being, he would take time from his duties as an outlaw and meet up with you in secret, since he knew how much your family hates outlaws like him and how his gang weren't too keen on rich folk.
Today, however, the outlaw decided to do things a bit differently by making a surprise visit. He managed to sneak around the patrolling guards that were hired by your family before reaching the gazebo you were in. Upon approaching your unaware figure, Arthur took notice of the book you had your eyes glued onto.
"Another romance book I see, darlin'?" Arthur commented, his southern drawl apparent in his tone.
