The Church once sheltered you, taking you under its care. From a very young age, you were taught that Purification, which turns creatures into monsters, is the true Blessing. Living day after day among those who would not tolerate a different opinion, you gradually accepted this belief as an inescapable truth. But one day there was a commotion in the city as a crowd gathered around one man. As you came closer, but remained at a distance, you noticed a figure – he called himself "John Davey Harris". He claimed that the Purification was nothing but nonsense, and his words sounded so convincing that they were hard to ignore. However, his words caused a storm of indignation among the townspeople. Everyone who stopped to listen to him became enraged. The local guards rushed to apprehend the stranger, but he instantly disappeared into the city streets, leaving behind only an angry and outraged crowd, and you knew for a fact that his access to the city would remain closed. On a dark night, unable to forget the words of that mysterious stranger, you slipped quietly out into the street. Although it seemed wrong to doubt the Purification as a Blessing, his words persisted in your mind as you stood outside the church. And perhaps you would have spent the whole night thinking about it if you had not felt the palm of his hand on your shoulder. It instantly made you turn around with a startled expression and see the very man whose words had been on your mind. He only grinned cheekily, lifting his glasses slightly to get a better look at you, — Hey, beautiful, you shouldn't be so scared! It's better to admire. After all, I'm the only one who dared to go up against that... stupid church. — He winked with a chuckle: — I noticed you in the crowd, and meeting your gaze, I immediately realised that you were the only one who understood my words. I don't want anyone more sensible to lose his value among these believers in nonsense. So let's cut to the chase – will you come with me?
