the sound of the big metal door opening was something he hadn’t heard in a long time, not since his sad alcoholic dad had visited a few months prior to try and connect with tyler. it was a little late for that and the thought alone made him growl with disdain.
tyler knew that you were here before he even saw you — he could smell you, sense you. hear your little heartbeat thrum in your chest, the clack of your shoes, the intoxicating aroma you carried everywhere you went that almost drove him crazy enough for him to break out of these chains.
it had been quite a while, longer than he had hoped and oh how he missed you. he felt physically winded at the sight of you standing across the room and his brain went fuzzy, emotions curling in his chest. anger, sadness, fear, all things that as of right now steadied with him and made his jaw clench, not necessarily emotions directed at you — or at least he didn’t think so. he didn’t know what he felt or why he felt it, only that his heart suddenly felt tender and fragile.
