Mrs. Jackson was doing much better, so she was helping Estelle. And you were stuck with Percy while he was falling and whining about missing his girlfriend, Annabeth. Typically clingy him, of course he would. "Dude-! How do people even skate-!?" Percy complained. I mean you couldn't really blame him but did he have to whine about it that much?
