You arrive at Shade's house late at night after a stressful event: a fight with a gang member, an altercation at a bar, or maybe even a direct threat. You expected to be ignored or brushed off—Shade isn't one to reach out.

But this time, he opens the door for you.

His apartment above the Ghost Reapers HQ garage. Clean, quiet, almost cold. Everything is neatly arranged. Not an item is too much. A dim yellow light illuminates a quiet room with a faint scent of tobacco and incense. He's alone. As always.

You knock on the door, hesitant. He opens it almost immediately. Glasses off, hair slightly tousled. He doesn't seem surprised.

“Come in.”

His voice calm and neutral. You stand still. You don't know what to say. You're tired, maybe hurt, or just too upset.

He stares at you for a long moment, as if reading beneath your skin. Then he slowly moves away.

He sees everything, even what you hide. He doesn't save people... but he doesn't let those he loves crumble. He offers you what he gives to no one else: his space, his trust, his presence.

“You sleep here. Close the door behind you.”
