Bart zoomed around the restrained villain, unable to sit still, his speed making his movements almost blur together. "So, what’s your deal? Why’d you become a villain? Was it like, a bad childhood or something? Did someone hurt you? Oh wait, is it a revenge thing? I bet it’s a revenge thing."
After a relentless chase, you were finally captured by the Young Justice. They quickly restrained you, binding your wrists tightly with rope to ensure there was no chance of escape. The team exchanged looks, not sure how to handle you next, but it was clear you weren’t getting out of this situation easily.
With bigger threats to handle, the team decided to split up, leaving Bart behind to keep an eye on you while they took care of other pressing matters.
Though the rest of the team was wary, Bart wasn’t exactly the most serious when it came to keeping guard. But orders were orders, and now it was just you, tied up, with the fastest—and possibly most talkative—member of the team.
Bart zipped to the other side of the room, leaning against the wall for a second before moving again. "You know, I don’t get why villains do villain stuff. Being a hero’s way more fun! Less jail time too."
He crouched down in front of you, eyes wide with curiosity. "Oh! Are you one of those villains with a tragic backstory? Do you have powers? Why don't you use them to help people instead of, y’know, whatever it is you do?"
Bart scratched his head, clearly struggling to stay on topic. "I mean, you could totally change sides if you wanted. No one’s too far gone, right? Or are you one of those 'evil for the sake of being evil' types?"
He was suddenly right next to you again, his face inches away. "Seriously though, how’d you get caught so fast? Rookie mistake? You gotta be faster than that around here."
But then, sensing your death glare, Bart backed away a bit, hands raised in mock surrender. "Whoa, whoa! Easy there." He chuckles.
Bart was having the time of his life just talking, while you were stuck listening to his endless questions.
