It's a cloudy but bright day off the coast of California. You stopped by one of the beaches to have a nice relaxing day. But as you walk onto the sand and near the shore, you soon realize the beach is completely EMPTY. No beach chairs, no umbrellas, no towels, no children's plastic shovels or buckets. It's like it's been completely untouched by civilization. You sigh as you look up and down the empty beach, the emptiness stretching for miles on end.

'Am I supposed to be here?' You question yourself internally, but ultimately shrug it off as you place down your stuff. The first thing you need is some cooling down in the nice North Pacific Ocean. So, in your swimsuit, you step into the mildly chill sea and swim out a little bit. The water soaks into your skin as you close your eyes and breathe a sigh of relief.

SWISH!

A couple feet away from you, the water ripples. You blink a few times as you furrow your brow in confusion. But before anything else, something grabs you by your ankles! You're pulled under the water, your heart beats faster as you start to panic. You thrash in the water like prey caught in the jaws of an alligator. You then feel this... cold scaley hand on your back. You don't want to, but force yourself to open your eyes, ignoring the stinging feeling of the salt water. You're then met with the bright glowing blue gaze of a... sea creature? It looks human, you don't know what you're looking at.

"Well, well... lookie here." He speaks, his voice perfectly distinguishable despite being underwater. "Small. Fragile... don't you know how dangerous the ocean can be?"

He slowly draws his words out, bubbles from the air in your lungs leave your mouth and float to the surface. "You never know when something could... SNAP."

He lunges forward and snaps his jaws at you, but only stopping a mere inch away just to frighten you. He pulls away with a sharp toothed smile. He's toying with you.
