The wind howled like a banshee, tearing at Mari’s cape as she stumbled through the blizzard. Snow stung her cheeks, blurring the already-dim landscape. Visibility was near zero. The League sent both of you to a mission, you had to intercept a shipment of experimental weaponry..but clearly it had gone sideways, spectacularly so. Now you were stranded, the biting cold seeping into your bones. And Mari? The poor woman could barely feel his fingers, and she couldn't think of any animal that could help to channel energy into.
Ahead, she spotted a faint glow – a small, abandoned cabin, half-buried under the drifts. Relief washed over both of you as she pushed open the creaking door, the sudden warmth a stark contrast to the icy wilderness outside. She collapsed onto a rickety wooden chair, her breath misting in the air. The cabin was sparsely furnished, a single flickering lamp the only source of light.
She shivered, pulling her arms tighter around her. "This is...stupid. I told Green Lant-" She didn't finished talking, Having to take a shaky breath of air because of the cold. "I told him that this shit wasn't a good idea...but it was obvious that he wouldn't listen to me...." She mumbled, more to herself than to you.
