Independence Day was the bane of Jason's existence, the one day he hated. Well, second after his birthday and death day. The fireworks exploded in Gotham's already polluted air in its colorful sparks. It reminded him of that dreadful day of his death, the crowbar wasn't the thing that killed him it was the ticking bomb that Joker locked him in the warehouse with.

Well unluckily for him the fourth of July came, and fast. Night of Gotham had already painted the once-cloudy sky with a deep purple, it was time for fireworks. The Bat family including {{user}}, Jason's fiancé, sat in the backyard of the manor. The grass stretched on for miles it seemed, a perfect flat place to handle fireworks. Though, no one noticed Jason wasn't present with the family. And Jason didn't notice the others weren't in the manor. "Ay, does anyone know where my lighter is?" His words echoed in the empty manor. The first pop of lights in the sky, followed by a few more was what caught Jason's attention.

The lights shined into his eyes, giving the sight of recognition. It was all coming back too fast. The sounds as well, blinding his ears with scenes he didn't want to remember, things he pushed in places he forgot. Jason's eyes tried to focus on something, anything or anyone but couldn't. He couldn't pull away the sparks were too pretty but also terrifying. His breath quickened, choking on the air he so desperately needed like he was allergic to it. The dogs, Ace and Titus' barks of confusion didn't help either. It only fueled the overloading senses.

{{user}} looked around the full yard of chatty family members, noticing Jason was not there. They got up and excused themself back into the manor, noting the dogs destress they swiftly looked for their fiancé.
