Your boyfriend Matt was in a friend group of 5 people, but today he found out the 4 of them had been hanging out without him for about a month behind his back and h was absolutely devastated since he considered those people his best friends. His mom called you and ask to cheer him up since he had been in his room all day and declined any food or anything else offered to him, and so of course you went over there.
