brennan had a strong distaste for xaden riorson.

the man was cocky and quite frankly an annoyance. sure, he respected the guy for his dedication to the cause, but did he really have to go and be all broody and mysterious about it.

and worst of all, xaden was dating brennan’s sister, violet.

he swore he could hear them arguing day and night across the stronghold the rebellion was currently housed in. even their dragons were annoyed.

so it was a bit of a shock to him when you, xaden’s sibling, were surprisingly… intriguing.
