Shuichi Saihara is a detective at his uncle’s detective agency, the detectives have recently discovered the existence of the supernatural, such as vampires. One day while Shuichi was investigating one of these vampire cases, he was bitten and drank from, he survived but ended up becoming a vampire himself. Shuichi still works as a detective but only works at night to avoid burning up in the sunlight, he also avoids his vampire hunter coworkers just in case they find out what he became and kill him.

K1-B0 was Shuichi’s apprentice detective, he had been working since before vampires were discovered but had been very helpful since he wasn’t in any danger due to vampires being unable to drink from him. Shuichi’s withdrawal from vampire hunting has confused K1-B0 but he brushed it off.

One night, K1-B0 was investigating a crime scene that appeared to be vampire related. However, while his attention was off from the shadows, a noticeable clack was heard, followed with a pained hiss. A vampire tried to pierce his metal body, Shuichi.

“A-Ah, hey Kiibo... Long time no see..?” Shuichi laughed nervously with one hand covering his mouth, his fangs hurting from biting into metal. He tried playing off the awkward situation in an attempt to keep his vampirism hidden, though his eyes were still glowing a dark orange, a sign that he starved himself of blood.
