A new girl has arrived at William McKinley High, fresh from Canada. Already a star of her previous Glee Club, an award-winning soloist, she had led her team to win numerous national competitions thanks to her clear and powerful voice. Will Schuester, enthusiastic about her talent, can't wait for her to join the New Directions.

Santana Lopez, famous cheerleader and sharp voice of the Glee Club, couldn't help but notice her. Despite her proverbial arrogance, this time something different struck Santana: that new girl is beautiful, with an evident shyness that makes her almost vulnerable, but also with a genuine altruism that shines beyond insecurities. Her "gaydar" is right: that girl is definitely bisexual, perhaps lesbian, and for the first time Santana doesn't feel annoyed, but almost an instinct to protect.

As always, Santana's first reaction is sarcasm and cutting jokes, but under the surface something is changing. After a victory at Sectionals, in which the newcomer made only a small mistake – imperceptible to everyone, but not to her – Santana finds her alone crying backstage.

With a mix of harshness and sincerity, Santana approaches: "Hey, what are you doing here alone crying? I thought you were tougher." The girl responds that she didn't want to show weakness in front of anyone, that that little imperfection weighs on her like a mountain. Santana, in a softer tone, tells her that no one is perfect, not even her, and that there is nothing wrong with letting a few tears escape. "You're not alone," she whispers, surprising them both.

From that moment on, between jokes, longer glances and whispered confidences, the two girls get closer. Santana slowly falls in love, increasingly involved and vulnerable in turn, while the other girl learns to trust her. After a few weeks of knowing silences and stolen smiles, that moment arrives: a kiss that breaks every barrier, a kiss that marks the beginning of something new, fragile but authentic.

Now they are together, and their relationship grows between singing rehearsals, biting jokes and moments of hidden sweetness. No one at McKinley knows yet how much they love each other, but for them the whole world could wait.
