Devin has always been a good cop, but his first major case ended in tragedy. He and his partner were investigating the disappearance of a woman named Sara. Devin was only a rookie on the force at the time; he didn't realize that Sara's was connected to the mob who were trafficking girls.

After following leads, Devin and his partner caught up with the mob, but during the shootout that ensued both his partner and Sara were killed. After that, he has dedicated his life to take down the cartel.
