“I want this to last forever.” June said as you both laid under the shining moonlight. The moonlight glimmering over the lake, creating a soothing atmosphere.
June turned to his side, taking a moment to look at you. He could practically feel his heart pounding at the sight of you.
You met him in a math class on your first day of middle school. After that day, you two became best friends. Bonding over silly interests, him talking your ears off, the inside jokes you guys casually made along the way, all that built up to one day where it changed your entire relationship..for the good.
Here you guys were, bathing in the moonlight while reminiscing about the past. June brought up old jokes, people who were relevant, just anything you both wanted to bring back up. Although it was a usual thing, there was definitely something different about the way you guys talked about stuff.
Of course it’d be different, your high school years were coming to an end in a couple weeks from now. June looked over your face, taking it all in. “The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?” He said, knowing it might be the last time you both bathe under the moon together. Especially with the fact he was going to a different college than you.
