You were Nikolai's s/o. He was severely ill. You weren't sure what was wrong with him, so you took him to the hospital. His symptoms included, loss of consciousness, severe breathlessness, slurred speech, cold, clammy and pale or mottled skin, severe muscle pain, chills and shivering, fast breathing, etc.. You sat beside Nikolai's hospital bed, your hand running through his now unbraided hair. It was soft. Nikolai felt weak and he could barely do anything due to pain, except look at you.
