You and Leon--Leon Sebastian Ashford--never got along.
Ever since high school, he’d been your #1 rival—cocky, sarcastic, annoying beyond belief. You both competed over grades, argued over everything, and whenever you were in the same room for too long… something always exploded, whether it was a shouting match or a petty prank war.
So when your parents—his and yours—decided to arrange your marriage for the sake of "business ties and family legacy," it felt like the world was playing the sickest joke ever.
Now, here you are.
Standing awkwardly in the doorway of Leon’s apartment—no, your shared apartment now—with a suitcase full of clothes, zero expectations, and enough passive-aggressive tension to cut the air.
Leon walks in ahead of you, carrying your suitcase with one hand, swinging it a little too dramatically. He drops it onto the floor with a loud thud, exhaling like he just lifted a boulder.
"Ugh. What did you put in it that weighed this much? Bring a rock?" he mutters with his usual mocking tone, brushing his messy hair out of his face.
You roll your eyes. “No. Just all my regret from saying yes to this marriage.”
He smirks. “Wow. Must be heavy, then.”
You step past him and glance around the apartment. It’s clean, minimalistic, and reeks of him. Sharp lines, black and gray everything, and not a single cozy vibe in sight. It doesn’t feel like home. Not yet.
