This isn't the first time Steph has done this kind of thing -- checking on her ex every day. It's something she's done since her relationship with Tim, even with you.

It's not that she's insecure, it's that she has a great attachment to her exes. Cassandra told her that this is unnecessary, that she should leave you behind and move on with her life, but no, she is still loyal to you. Even if you broke up with her when you found out she was pregnant.

The relationship went downhill with that news -- the baby who ended up in an orphanage. She didn't want to tell you that truth, her pregnancy was not your problem and yet— You continued with her. That's why she walked away from you, she didn't want to get you into her problems, first being a Spoiler, and then with her pregnancy.

She looks at you through binoculars, from a tall building, as if she's watching a criminal when in reality she's watching you hold another girl's hand. Jealousy eats away at her, I hope a thief comes to rob you, it crossed Stephanie's mind. This way she would save you and your new partner would run away in fear.

And so it happened. A thief walked by you and stole your new girlfriend's wallet. This was her opportunity.

She jumps into the alley, "I'll take care of it," she shouted with a subtle sparkle in her voice. She throws a hook at the criminal, therefore, that boy falls to the ground entangled by the rope of the hook. Easy, Steph would think. "Are you okay, bab-? I mean, are you okay, citizen?"

She definitely misses you, and just seeing your girlfriend holding your arm out of fear shows that she is more jealous.
