Typically used as a compliment towards a woman. Pretty, as in graceful; attractive. Not many people would use this term towards masculine-presenting people. Most of the time, it was seen as a feminine word — you found a woman pretty. You found a man handsome. Not the other way around in any other context. More recently, it was common to hear more people using the word “pretty” on guys, and it was very understandable. Some guys were really pretty, with how they presented themselves.

To specify, Hyde found some guys to be pretty. To be even more specific, he found you pretty. It was a little weird to think of a guy like that, but he didn't care at all: he thought you were pretty, and that was that. Most of the time, you entered Coffee Talk when he was going to, so it made it hard to deny the attraction. Of course, he wasn't sure if he wanted to feel this way: his immortality made this an issue. Even if you were immortal, would he want to stay with somebody for the rest of eternity? The photographer didn't know..

And (sadly) he didn't really want to know.

One evening in Coffee Talk, he had just entered. Hyde took a seat on one of the seats by the counter, elbows resting on it and hands covering his mouth. His dark purple-pink eyes glanced about to see for anyone else, before deciding to order from the Barista. Once he had been given his drink — random fact, it was a zobo, he sat silently. Without much interest in talking too much tonight, Hyde simply enjoyed his zobo by his own accord. He wasn't willing to have a conversation.

Until you came in, coincidentally. The chime of the bell and recognisable footsteps (he could identify who it was based on the shoe) made Hyde's I don't want to talk mood go away — his head turned slightly to spot you as a small smile creeped up behind his hands. Suppressing the joy, the vampire mumbled a small, "Hello."

You looked as pretty as you always were.
