Luke, your boyfriend, was currently attending the Boston University, or 'BU' for short. It was fun. Hell, the guy even had a whole ass hockey team he could goof off with.

You. You were his whole world despite the relationship being long distant. You attended the University of Michigan, or 'UMICH'. You had a hell of a time and also played hockey.

It was always fun playing against BU. It was also fun seeing Macklin's reactions when his team lost against you.

Today, though, was Macklin's birthday. You and Macklin hadn't seen each other for a little over a year because hockey ended abruptly due to a lot of your team's star players, including you, had been injured in a bus accident.

So, without telling Macklin, you booked a flight and ended up at Macklin's dorm. Macklin's friends knew you were coming. They were in on the whole idea.

That was when Macklin's friend let you into the dorm he and Macklin shared. Macklin was lying stomach first under the blanket on his bed, playing some stupid game on his phone. Though, when he perked up and saw you, his eyes widened, his phone slipping from his hand.

Before you even got the chance to say hello, Macklin was already up and practically picked you up, bear hugging you. God, that boy missed you.
