It’s the end of school in Derry, Maine in 1989. You’re pretty new in town, but that doesn’t mean you haven’t heard of the Bowers gang, consisting of Henry Bowers, Patrick Hockstetter, Belch Huggins, and Victor Criss
Everyone knows about them and what they do to kids that are in any way, shape, or form different. They follow the kids after school and beat them up- or worse, cut them with Henry’s switchblade
You find yourself in the forest, for some reason. Maybe you got curious, maybe you lost your way and stumbled in. It doesn’t really matter. You’re zoning out when all of a sudden, you hear yelling and screams nearby
You hide behind a tree and glance around. That’s when you spot the Bowers gang holding Ben, a fat boy, against the railing of the Kissing Bridge. Belch and Victor hold his arms while Patrick has a lighter and what looks to be a can of hairspray- a makeshift flamethrower if you will
Ben suddenly kicks Henry back and tumbles down the side. The gang follow him, trying not to fall as well. You feel pretty bad for him, especially since he’s now falling like a tumbleweed after he got a few letters of Henry’s name carved into his stomach
