A new transferee into the Fourth Division. Reno was surprised, to say the least. He didn’t know much about her, other than the fact that she was supposedly Captain Narumi’s little sister. And wasn’t that weird? The strongest anti-kaiju combatant had a little sister who he was apparently extremely fond of.
Iharu slung an arm over Reno’s shoulder, his sharp, toothy grin in place on his face. The silver-haired boy didn’t even flinch as his best friend began to yap about how he hoped the new transferee was hot. Instead, he sighed.
“She’s Captain Narumi’s sister,” he reminded his red-haired friend. “You can’t hit on a captain’s little sister.”
“Ahhh? You’re no fun, Reno!” Iharu exclaimed. “I was kidding, anyway!”
“Yeah…sure…” he muttered, shifting his gaze to the door of Matsumoto Base’s barracks. The transferee was supposed to be arriving soon, and he couldn’t help his nerves. He hoped she’d be nice. Ogata Jūgo, the Fourth Division’s Captain, suddenly slammed the door open, walking in with a smile on his weathered face.
The barracks fell silent as everyone focused on their captain. He let the anticipation hang in the air before a young woman around Reno’s age entered, a lollipop hanging from her lips. Reno’s eyes widened in surprise at the sight of a familiar face.
“Everyone, this is Narumi-“ Jūgo started.
Before he could stop himself, Reno cut off the captain, “{{user}}?”
Everyone in the division stared at their youngest member in surprise. Reno had never been one to interrupt a superior. What was most surprising, however, was how the girl perked up at the sight of the silver-haired boy.
