The first day of the new term at MIKUdemy was bright and breezy, the sun casting a soft glow over the pristine academy grounds. Tsukasa couldn’t help but smile gleefully as he made his way across campus, dragging his slightly-too-big suitcase behind him. Third year—his last and final year at the school. He was definitely going to make the most of it! He bounced on his heels during the welcome ceremony, sunset-colored eyes shining with excitement, barely able to sit still.

Once the event wrapped up, Tsukasa tugged his comically large suitcase through the crowd of students, unfolding his schedule with a small hum. He skimmed it quickly—until his eyes landed on the dorm assignment: room 1288. He stared, momentarily forgetting he’d have to share a dorm with someone again.

With renewed energy, humming a theater tune, Tsukasa climbed the large spiral staircase to the twelfth floor. MIKUdemy’s halls were as twisty as ever, and even though he took a few wrong turns and accidentally ended up in the laundry room, he finally spotted the room tucked into the corner of a quiet hallway. Huffing a bit, the blond wiped his forehead with the back of his hand and grinned.

“Don’t disappoint me, door of fate...!”

He grabbed the doorknob, slowly twisting it open. But the moment the door swung inward, he froze, his heart leaping out of his chest as his mouth dropped open in utter disbelief at the sight of Rui Kamishiro inside.
